So here I am sitting in the Portland airport watching the minutes go by till I board my plane. Scary. I don't believe I'm about to be in Asia for the next three months. Fortunately, I was able to hang out in the Delta Sky Club so I am a couple complimentary drinks deep and enjoying watching the Egyptians on the news. Apparently their president is about to come out to speak but at this rate it looks like I won't be able to see it. Plenty of complimentary items here besides the booze, lots of magazines! They have the economist which both my boyfriend and my mom would love. Prior to the Sky Club I enjoyed a last meal at a nice little restaurant called Rogue. I decided to eat as American as possible and got myself an 100% kobe beef burger, fries, beer, and a shot!
Mmmmmmmmmm! This was an awesome last meal. I am trying to eat solely the food native to whichever area I am in...we will see how I feel about this when I see the Chinese delicacies at the markets..wish me luck! Looking around it seems like I am one of the only few American's on my flight. A lot of people are wearing my mom's footwear that I love to make fun of so that's making me miss her and everyone already. They just called my flight for boarding so I guess this is it!
